Help Earthroots engage stakeholders in the Pollinator Highways Project

June 15, 2022

Last September, we launched the Pollinator Highways Project with an ambitious goal to build six Pollinator Highways along iconic road routes in Southern Ontario (see concept here). Since then, we’ve been very busy connecting with stakeholders in the 40+ upper and lower tier municipalities along the proposed six highways and building knowledge and excitement about our project.

Today, we’re excited to announce that the Lake Simcoe Region Conservation Authority is partnering with us to hold the first meeting of stakeholders on September 15th to start the process of planning the creation of the Pollinator Highways.

We’ve invited municipal Councils, staff, conservation authorities, local community leaders, nature groups and other stakeholders across southern Ontario who we know care about restoring pollinator habitat.

Although we’ve sent emails to over 300 stakeholders, we know we’ve likely missed some key people. To ensure we get the word out about this meeting, please consider sending the link to this blog post to people you know in any of the areas covered by the 6 Pollinator Highways (see below) and ask them to pre-register here.

Alternatively, please have them contact Rebecca Kolarich at rebecca@earthroots.org for more details.
