Earth day will be held this year on the 22nd of April, but we thought it would be so much better if we celebrated with our supporters all month long! The theme of this year is “invest in our planet.” This theme is focused on engaging governments, businesses, organizations, and citizens to do their part for our planet – “everyone accounted for, everyone accountable.”
Now more than ever, it is so important to come together in partnership for our planet. All of us are equally responsible for acting against biodiversity loss and the climate crisis and help work towards a green future for generations to come. Investing in our planet and a green economy is the only path to a sustainable future. Since human influence is the obvious blame for the warming of our planet and decline of biodiversity, it is up to us to make it better.
This Earth month, Earthroots has set a goal to raise $5000. Money raised will go towards enhancing our conservation campaigns set to help fight for the protection vulnerable species and spaces in Ontario. Our province isunder threat right now, with no political will from the current government, it is up to us to fight for those who cannot fight for themselves.
